It is no longer a village, but a busy resort destination, with beautiful emerald waters and pure white sand.
There was a strong cross wind out of the north (25 mph) and later in the day the wind switched and came from the northwest providing a little bit of help. In the middle portion of the ride on I turned north onto Hwy 331 named The Beach Highway and for 10 miles headed straight into the north wind.
Ending the day in Ebro with 100.7 miles.

ReplyDeleteWe had to read these comments about twenty times before it sunk in what had happened....you'd think after losing a precious 16 yr. old daughter because of a careless driver that we wouldn't be shocked by such things...but shocked we are. And saddened beyond words.

I am terribly sorry to read of your loss. I love cycling and recently completed a (much less heroic) charity ride. I will make a donation to yours and I wish you peace and comfort in this terrible time.
ReplyDeleteI was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Roger. I work for the Children's Miracle Network office in Springfield, MO. Norb and Ann Bagley are raising money to support our charity on a very similar ride and met Roger days before his passing. In honor of Roger, we have posted information in our hospital on how to connect to his blog, with the hopes that others will support his goal of raising funds for the Gulf oil spill. Our prayers our with Rogers family at this time.
